Additional info
This activity teaches comparative physiology in the animal world by introducing groups to different real animal specimens. The session is split into three activities; a hands-on quiz in our anatomy museum conducted by the Head of Anatomy, Mr Andrew Crook MBE; an opportunity to explore physiology in context with our live calves, where groups can learn stethoscope skills and bovine adaptations; and a chance to complete a workshop in our university labs exploring science on a micro level.
Important: Animal welfare is paramount at RVC: if our calves or any of our activities are not available the alternative activity is a directed learning session where students work through a clinical case study, to understand how a team at the RVC solves animal health issues.
