In fact, we ranked 1st in the UK for Social Inclusion for the seventh year running in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide, 2024.

Innovative - As a University, we are open to innovation and ideas, producing ground-breaking research and working on world-leading developments. One of our most notable successes saw our team at the OpTIC Centre in St Asaph polish prototype mirrors for a £900m project on the world’s largest telescope.

Supportive - We foster a supportive environment to encourage our staff and students to work together to achieve their learning, research and career goals. This has been evidenced by us ranking 2nd in the UK and 1st in Wales for Student Support in the Daily Mail University League Table 2024 and Joint 2nd in the UK and 1st out of Welsh Universities for Student Satisfaction in the Complete University Guide, 2025.

Ambitious - Our £80 million investment into our campus and learning facilities as part of our Campus 2025 strategy shows our forward-thinking attitude as a university and ambition to improve the learning and teaching environment for our students. Our campuses are home to a range of state-of-the-art buildings, equipment, and facilities, including our Healthcare Simulation Centre, Veterinary Nursing Clinical Suite, Biomechanics and Performance Sciences Laboratory, Cyber Innovation Academy, and much more!
