Campus

Our vibrant campus, with its blend of architectural styles and greenspace, offers all you need for a fulfilling student experience. Located a ten-minute walk from the city centre, everything is on your doorstep.

Our newest development, our West Downs Centre, has won a RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) award for its inspiring design and sustainable features including plenty of study spaces, to a contemplation space, to a library, cafes, and a courtyard garden.

Across the rest of campus, you will find teaching facilities for your course, the Student Union venues, plenty of spaces to study, socialise and relax, and on-site accommodation.

Student Support

In order for you to achieve your potential, our dedicated Student Support and Success team are here when you need them. Our Mental Wellbeing team offer a range of ways to get support whilst our Student Life team are here to advise on any element of student life. The Disability team work directly with you to develop the best path of support for you to succeed in your studies. Our Student Support and Success team also includes our brilliant careers team who provide careers advice and support for life so through your whole time as a Winchester student and then as a Winchester graduate, you are encouraged and inspired to apply your skills and talents to the professional world.

The City

Winchester is the perfect student city. A short walking distance from the University campus, it is a captivating mix of unique independent shops, cafés, pubs and bars, live music venues, thousands of years of history, nature, and cultural event spaces. Whether you want a night out, or a day out with friends, Winchester has something for everyone. Of particular note are the range of festivals located in or near the city. From the charming Christmas market to the electrifying Boomtown music festival, there are so many opportunities to make the most of your time here in Winchester.

Winchester is an hour to London by direct train, and only 20 minutes from Southampton. Other cities along the south coast, including Bournemouth and Portsmouth, are also within easy reach.
