Overview
The University of Chichester has a close-knit friendly community with an inclusive environment for students to be completely themselves. You are not just a number to us. We make it our mission to know all students by name to allow for an outstanding student experience throughout your time at Chichester.
We strongly believe having all of our teachers’ research and all of our researchers teach creates an exceptional learning environment for all students to achieve excellence.
We are well regarded for teaching excellence and this has been recognised in The Guardian University League Tables 2025 where we ranked 26th out of 122 institutions. Not only that, but we are ranked 7th in the south east, according to the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024.
The university is based in West Sussex, with campuses in the historic city centre of Chichester and the coastal resort of Bognor Regis. The University dates back to 1839, when it was established as a college for training schoolmasters before evolving to the community-focused University it is today.
