Campus and Facilities
Our campus is close to the centre of York, a city with great culture and history. Investing in our campus means we are always improving our specialist facilities and building new spaces for you. We have recently expanded the specialist facilities for our Performance, Computer Science, and Music courses in the Creative Centre. Our new state-of-the-art Nursing and Paramedic facilities are now being used to train students across our health courses.
With a strong campus community ethos, the Students' Union (SU) is a great place to relax with friends and attend various social events throughout the year. The SU is home to a bar, Starbucks coffee shop, and the Students’ Union team offices. With over 60 sports and societies to get involved with, you'll find something to join in with whatever your interests.
We have places across campus for you to get food and drinks, keeping you fuelled for your studies. Fountains Learning Centre, our 24/7 access library and resource facility, is split over 3 floors and has dedicated teams to provide you with a range of IT and study support. We have spaces on campus for worship, reflection, and meditation. These include The Chapel, Contemplation Room, Muslim Prayer Room, and a Quiet Room. We welcome all members of the University in our sacred spaces.
Just over a mile from our main campus you will find our York St John University Sports Park. With an indoor Sports Centre and 57-acres of outside space, it's a unique facility available to our students and the wider community.
Our Sports Park includes:
